Fidelity ADT, PORT ELIZABETH currently have a wonderful and challenging opportunity for a Senior Technician.
The ideal candidate must be able to do the installation of electronic equipment for the security industry at commercial and industrial premises from Access control, CCTV, Fire and automation.

Minimum Requirements...
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Must have strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Senior Electronic Security technician
  • Must have a valid drivers license 
  • At least 5 years security installation experience
  • Must be able to work independently 
  • Programming, wiring, installations and fault finding experience

Job Specification...

  • Valid code 08 driver’s licence essential
  • Must be PSIRA registered (Grade C)
  • Basic electronic understanding
  • Sound knowledge of Access control, CCTV, Fire Detection and IP systems
  • Knowledge on Impro, Softcon, GSC, Barriers, Turnstiles, Ziton, Bosch and similar products
  • Be able to read of plans do reticulation, cabling, termination and commissioning of electronic security equipment.
  • Software programming on Access control
  • Do fault finding on existing equipment and be able to do servicing on said equipment.
  • Able to work standby as and when required

Main Duties:

  • Perform installations as per quotation
  • Program system as per specifications
  • Issue clients with quotes on site for additional equipment if necessary
  • Plan the cable runs with the wireman
  • Obtain  customer codes before attending a call daily and when on Standby
  • Complete handovers
  • Complete  invoices and job cards after every installation
  • Provide feedback to Manager / Supervisor and Call Centre upon completion of a call
  • Download cites every morning
  • Keep stock up to date and assist store man with stock take
  • Keep the company vehicle clean
  • Submit petrol slips
