Job Description

The above position is vacant at CashMaster in Waltloo, reporting to the Supervisor Operations CashMaster CashMaster.

Provide a complete stock assistant service, addressing all issues of a storeroom control nature and providing all relevant information to meet external demands. These services may include, but are not limited to, any of the following: stock control, cycle counts, annual stock take, goods receiving, issuing stock.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • A recognised Procurement, Logistics or Supply chain qualification advantageous
  • Minimum five years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Good level of competence in Pastel, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
  • Able to work effectively in a complicated environment with minimal management guidance/supervision
  • Good analytical and problem solving ability
  • Technical understanding

 

Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive)

 

  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Verify packages according to job card, waybill or stock request (quantity, quality, price etc.)
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Ensure inter-store transfer journals are signed and processed for satisfactory deliveries
  • Recording serial numbers where applicable
  • Organise stock on shelves, in crates and buckets
  • Daily cycle counts
  • Perform quality checks on stock being received
  • Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock.
  • Maintain a process for returns. Manage a defined area in the storeroom for returns/credits to suppliers
  • Housekeeping
