Job Description

Role:  Financial Manager

Main Job Purpose:

To provide efficient and effective finance business support to the Fidelity Services Group, by planning, organising, leading and controlling activities which ensure, the timely and accurate financial reporting, budget development and control, proactive business case and cost saving model development and monitoring, effective cash flow management, sound internal controls, governance and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BCom Degree in Accounting.
  • CA(SA)
  • 5-8 years’ experience as a Senior Finance Manager.
  • Computer literate in MS Office suite with Advance Excel.
  • SAP Experience.
  • IFRS.
  • Financial Acumen.
  • Planning & Budgeting.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Administration, interpersonal communication, and customer liaison skills are required.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Clear Criminal Record.
  • Must reside in the Wes-Rand Area.

Key areas of responsibility: (Not totally inclusive)

  • Oversight and review of all accounting functions in the set-out area of responsibility.
  • Influence and drive the achievement of agreed/set out financial targets.
  • Maintaining the general accounting /cost accounting/payables and receivables.
  • Consolidate, analyse and report on financial performance as well as corrective, preventative and improvement initiatives required to achieve financial strategies and targets.
  • Develop and implement improvements to the control framework to support accurate financial reporting and ongoing assessment of risks and associated controls.
  • Compilation of monthly Board Packs.
  • Ensure the adequacy of balance sheet structuring.
  • Preparation of subsidiary Annual financial statements.
  • Preparation of PAYE Reconciliations.
  • Preparation of VAT Reconciliations.
  • Preparation of GL Recons.
  • Preparation of Quarterly CEO Report.
  • Submission of STATSA forms.
  • Adhoc requirements as required by Corporate CFO & GM CSA Finance, including benchmarking for Business Plan.
  • Monthly revenue journals.
  • Planning of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting - continuous process optimization.
