Job Title: Underground Security Manager
Location: Marikana Mine, Rustenburg
Division: Fidelity Security Services - Specialized Services
Employment Type: Contract

Job Purpose
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly disciplined Underground Security Manager to oversee and manage underground security operations at Marikana Mine in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational leadership, client liaison, compliance, manpower management, investigations, and the effective delivery of security services on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full underground security operation on site
  • Take responsibility for all firearms on site and ensure compliance
  • Ensure all sites are covered according to client requirements and daily deployment plans
  • Conduct weekly meetings with clients
  • Maintain a good working relationship between Fidelity Security Services and the client
  • Provide weekly deployment feedback to clients
  • Arrange and coordinate special operations with clients
  • Follow up on Section 12.1 documentation and ensure sign-off
  • Ensure invoices are signed by clients
  • Oversee Sibanye compliance requirements together with the SHE Representative
  • Manage manpower, including replacements and new recruitment
  • Enforce discipline and conduct disciplinary hearings where necessary
  • Conduct job interviews
  • Facilitate on-the-job training
  • Conduct crime investigations and provide feedback to the client
  • Attend parades and conduct regular site visits
  • Take responsibility for underground staff accommodation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and growth

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Proven experience in security management, preferably in mining or underground operations
  • Strong knowledge of firearm compliance and security operations
  • Experience in manpower management, recruitment, and staff supervision
  • Experience in disciplinary processes and hearings
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Investigation and report-writing experience
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • PSIRA registration and relevant security qualifications will be advantageous
  • Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous
